Celebration Johnstown!

As the first decade of the new millennium draws to a close, it is with the return of a Johnstown, PA tradition—the family-friendly New Year’s Eve bash known as “Celebration Johnstown!”. Stationed at multiple venues in downtown Johnstown, the event provides an alcohol-free environment from which to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.
From 6:00PM to 10:00PM this New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2009) revelers will be treated to free entertainment, festive surroundings, and food and refreshments from several downtown churches and the Cambria County Library.
Johnstown Flood Museum

It’s integrated into local culture and history so closely that we barely stop to think about the fateful events on May 31, 1889. The date that Johnstown was struck with a tragedy that earned the town the title of Flood City. The date of the Johnstown Flood. The Johnstown Flood Museum stands as a tribute and memorial to those who were lost and to the devastation suffered 120 years ago. Providing an in-depth look at the events that shaped the city as we know it, the museum is a unique and educational display in the heart of downtown Johnstown, PA.
