Runners will start at Johnstown’s historic Inclined Plane (click here for a map), where they will set off of a course that winds through the city’s neighborhoods and scenic countryside, ending at Johnstown’s Point Stadium (click here for a map). A mile-by-mile course description is available on the YMCA’s Web site.

In addition to the marathon, the event provides challenges for runners of all skill levels by presenting additional racing levels to participate in, including:

• Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
• 10K Race (6.2 miles)
• 10K Corporate Challenge (6.2 miles)
• 5K Fun Walk/Run (3.1 miles)
• Relay Team Competition

Registration options are accessible from the Marathon & 10K area of the YMCA’s Web site. All proceeds raised by this event benefit the YMCA youth, families and scholarship programs. This year the YMCA race event is also helping to raise awareness of the SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood) Program. To learn more about this cause, visit www.sudc.org.
